Summary of the beliefs and doctrinal position held by Kamas Bible Church.

Kamas Bible Church believes salvation is for anyone who will place their faith (trust) in the grace (free gift/no strings attached) of God shown to us in the person and work of Jesus Christ, for the forgiveness of their sins. (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3:23; 6:23; 5:8; 8:1; 10:10,13; Ephesians 2:8-10; Acts 4:12)

We believe the Bible is the Word of God, supernaturally and inerrantly revealed in its original documents, and is the supreme, final authority in faith and life. (2 Timothy 3:16,17; 2 Peter 1:19-21; Psalm 12:6; 119:105)

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, co-equal in power and glory, identical in their essential nature, and worthy of precisely the same honor, confidence, obedience and love. (John 1:1-4; Psalm 90:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

We believe Jesus Christ was virgin-born, that He is both true God and true Man, that He died a sacrificial death for our sins and rose bodily from the dead. We believe in the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit. (Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; Colossians 1:15-20; Hebrews 1:3; 1 Corinthians 15:3,4; Colossians 2:9,10)

We believe the Holy Spirit is one with God the Father and Jesus Christ. Those that accept Christ as their Savior will receive the Holy Spirit to live inside them. The Holy Spirit is our comforter, guide and advocate. (John 14:16,17; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 1:13,14)

We believe man was created innocent, but in sinning he brought spiritual and physical death to himself and all his posterity. We believe the sole condition for receiving everlasting life is faith alone in the Lord Jesus Christ, who died a substitutionary death on the cross for the sins of the whole world and rose bodily from the grave. No act of obedience, such as commitment to obey, sorrow for sin, turning from one's sin, baptism or submission to the Lordship of Christ, may be added to, or considered part of faith as a condition for receiving eternal life. This saving transaction between God and the sinner is simply the giving and receiving of a free gift. (Genesis 1:26,27; Psalm 14:3; 139:13-16; Romans 3:23; 6:23; Isaiah 53:6; 59:1,2; Colossians 2:13-15)

We believe in the reality and personality of Satan, the Devil; and that he was created by God as an angel but through pride and rebellion became the enemy of his Creator; that he became the unholy god of this age and the ruler of all the powers of darkness and is destined to the judgment of an eternal justice in the Lake of Fire. (Matthew 4:1-11; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Revelation 20:10)

We believe the Church is composed of all truly born-again people, being the Body of which Jesus Christ is the Head, that it had its earthly beginning on the day of Pentecost and that all believers, whether Jew or Gentile, from that day to the time when Christ comes in the Rapture for the Church, are united by the Holy Spirit in this one Body. (Acts 2:41,42; 1 Timothy 3:14,15; Romans 12:4,5; Colossians 1:17,20; Ephesians 2:19,22; 1 Peter 2:4,5; Hebrews 10:24,25)
